RACE REGULATIONS

  1. RESPONSIBILITY FOR VESSEL - Captains are responsible for their vessel and its operation. We require that all vessels are registered and in compliance with all local and federal laws. Due to the casual nature of this regatta, we are not inspecting vessels or credentials.

  2. RESPONSIBILITY FOR CREW - Just as Captains are responsible for their vessels, they are responsible for their crew. We are not booking charters or supplying crews. Choose to sail with crews responsibly.

  3. SAFE OPERATION OF VESSEL - Operate your vessel reasonably and within the rules of seamanship. Know the weather forecast and sail safely for the conditions. Bringing unknown sailors and different types of boats together within a close distance can create dangerous situations - especially in open water. We emphasize safety first out there. Place the well-being of your crew and vessel above the desire to win.

  4. ASSIST OTHERS AS ABLE - There may or may not be a chase boat. Help others who require emergency assistance when and if you can. Bring your dinghy. Please be available to help shuttle others to and from shore as you are able.

  5. REQUIRED INFORMATION - We will be asking Captains to provide us with some information in writing at Registration in St. John. We will maintain a Manifest with names and contact information for all crew.

  6. RELEASE OF LIABILITY WAIVER - All crew members participating on regatta boats must sign a waiver that releases Roaring 20s Production, Inc. from any liability. There will also be an acknowledgment that you are safe, your boat is safe, you know how to be safe, and so on.

  7. CONFIDENTIALITY - Personal contact information will be exchanged here - between you and us and between Captains and Crew. Everyone is required to treat that information responsibly.

  8. HAVE FUN! A lotta fun!

We will provide more details in accordance with the above rules.

Sign up below as Captain (Owner).

Captains, your crew members do not need to register independently. Registration is per boat.

NOTE: All participants must sign the waiver. (See button below.)
